The New Quarterly could not stay in print without the time and energy of a great number of people, many of whom also contribute to our financial resources. We would like to thank our readers, writers, editors, board members, donors, friends, and families for the many wonderful ways in which they contribute to our success.
In addition to basking in the support of all these individuals, The New Quarterly is published with the generous assistance of The Canada Council of the Arts, the Ontario government through the Ontario Arts Council, St. Jerome's University (which houses us), and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo. We also acknowledge the invaluable support of the government of Canada towards our mailing and project costs through Publications Assistance Program (PAP) and the Canada Magazine Fund.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation has given us a three-year grant to fund the part-time employment of our Circulation Manager, Melissa Krone, to help us build readership, profile, and organizational stabilty. This grant has already made a great difference in the day-to-day operations of TNQ in just a few months. The OAC is the province of Ontario's primary funding body for professional arts activity, and The New Quarterly has enjoyed its valuable support for many years, most recently through the Compass program. In addition to an operating grant, in 2009 we were awarded a Compass capacity-building grant of $2460 to bring consultant Alicia Pace to help us work through our succession and fund development plans for the years ahead. This support was invaluable to TNQ. If you are an artist or member of an arts organization, please click here to learn about the many different funding programs available through the OAC.
The Canada Council, reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Canadian Heritage, is a national arm's-length agency which fosters the development of the arts in Canada through grants, services and awards to professional Canadian artists and arts organizations, as well as administering scholarly awards. The New Quarterly has enjoyed the support of the Canada Council for many years. Please click here to learn more about what the Council can do to support your work or that of your organization.

We are pleased to acknowlege the support of the Department of Canadian Heritage through the Canada Magazine Fund toward various marketing and promotional projects over the past decade---most recently, toward the promotion of our new writing contests and the development of a new series of renewal letters.

The Region of Waterloo Arts Fund is a not-for-profit corporation established in 2002 by the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. It was created to operate at arm's length from the Region and to provide funding for the performing, visual and literary arts. Its mandate is to "Make Art Happen." The New Quarterly has been lucky enough to recieve funding from WRAF for a special article on regional book clubs in our summer issue (no. 107).
